Biography

DJ Belly has been rocking crowds and digging in crates since 2006. A mainstay in the Champaign Urbana nightlife, and an up and coming name in the Chicago Dubstep scene, he always keeps his sets dynamic and entertaining. Working on up from the the basements of Urbana to clubs across the nation, he is the founder of Dubstep Massacre. Dubstep Massacre is a monthly party in Champaign, Illinois that boasts bringing names such as Skream, Plastician, DZ, Phaded, Richie August, Ryan Searchl1te, and many others to town, not to mention the packed dance floors and general debauchery.

Belly is no stranger to being on the stage, having rocked shows alongside performers such as The Roots, Wu Tang Clan, Brother Ali, Lupe Fiasco, Ying Yang Twins, Psalm One, Supanatural, as well as numerous other hip hop acts. He also has been making big waves with his signature hip hop influenced dubstep sound which landed him spots at Summer Camp Music Festival on the late night tent, the main stage of North Coast Music Festival, playing alongside Rusko and Phaded at a sold out Metro, a packed house at Smartbar Chicago with Excision and tons of other shows across the midwest.

He is not new to the production game either. Having two hip hop remix albums, one full length album, Urban Love Hymns, a dubstep/hip hop mash-up album, and a few tracks out on some indie hip hop albums under his belt already, expect some great tunes in 2011 from Belly.
