• Pearsall presents Squat Rocking 4 (hard tekno mix!)

    1 Jan 2010, 10:31 by rph9thera

Here's the fourth edition of my Squat Rocking series, which is dedicated to straight-up hard techno, with 28 tracks from the mid-nineties to the mid-noughties chopped together in 70 minutes of mayhem. I've also included an essay on the Edinburgh techno scene from about ten years ago, as well as some vintage pictures of Apex, a leading underground club in Edinburgh at the time.

  • My Favourite Album Opening Moments

    5 Feb 2009, 14:44 by Steinhauser

These songs, or the first thirty seconds of them, are usually the reason I'll start to listen to the album they are on. This is in contrast to many albums with the best stuff somewhere in the middle - or even late in the first song - and the opening is buildup to that.

    (Song : Album - Artist)

"Moving" songs. These make me feel things and imagine pictures in my head.

Comfy in Nautica : Person Pitch - Panda Bear

This song inspied my list. The song kicks off to some trainyard clattering followed by slow clapping that hearkens of the plodding step of a dinosaur. Then there's a roar. The rest of the song is filled with jungle sounds, as if a chorus of Cretaceous animals are joining in on the festivities.

It's You : Prospect Hummer - Animal Collective [ft. Vashti Bunyan]

From the get-go this song is like a spring of pure, rippling water coming up through the basement floor. But you're not pissed, so you know it's actually a dream. …

Yesterday i watched the video of the dancing girl at (Background music made by DJ Bam Bam)again. The main reason to watch this girl was the music in the background , so i searched at google for clinicantwerp, music, dj, and few other things.
But after several minutes i found a link to an dutch ftp-server where i could download it.
Now I'm listening only the first 8 minutes of this mixtape , because they are the best.

Today or was it yesterday, im not sure. I watched the new Video of Mando Diao. I liked the sound of it.
Last Year the Album Hurricane Bar from Mando Diao was one of my all time favourites and i spent everytime i could to listen to that amazing album.
So i expect that the new Album is a hit.

I'm looking forward to the 28th of August where i am going to buy this album.

    best regards....
