About this album

UROBOROS is a remastered and expanded edition of the 7th studio album by DIR EN GREY. It was released on January 11, 2012 in Japan by FIREWALL DIV.

The remastered album have several differences from the original 2008 release. Except for the remastering by sound engineer Tue Madsen (who worked with their 8th album “DUM SPIRO SPERO”), the album includes a longer version of intro track “SA BIR” and Japanese lyrics on tracks “GLASS SKIN” and “DOZING GREEN”.

It was also expanded, and two more songs were added into the tracklist. “HYDRA -666-” (originally released as B-side on “DOZING GREEN”-single) and “BUGABOO RESPIRA” (which was hidden onto the vinyl disc of the Deluxe Limited Edition box set).

    How could anyone say the difference is minimal? I noticed a massive difference in pretty much all of the songs, and it is far superior to the original.

    v I agree, Stuck man, bugaboo, Reiket, and hydra are the only ones better than their original, the original took out of the "in your face" elements of the original and pushed it in the background.
