(2008 – 2011)

DELUHI was a Japanese / band, formed as GRAVE SEED but decided to change bandname when they had found all members in January 2008. The band immediately started recording materials composed by Leda, the mainsongwriter. Performing around venues in Tokyo and achieving explosive growth as a band, their debut album SURVEILLANCE was released on March 26th. With the 5 songs of the album, the band reached instant recognition as the up-and-coming band within the visual rock scene. As of December 1st 2010, they are on an activity pause to return as an even better band, but sadly they decided to disband in 2011.

The bandmembers were:
Vocal: JURI (ジュリ) Amulet*(Gt support.tsubo) → GRAVE SEED(Vo.Takuya) → DELUHI(JURI))
Guitar: LEDA (レダ) (沙耶Crimson Head(Gt.勇人) → Amulet*(Gt.有羽人) → Galneryus(Ba.YU-TO), GRAVE SEED(Gt.) → Galneryus(Ba.YU-TO), DELUHI(Gt.LEDA))
Bass: Aggy (アギー) GRAVE SEEDDELUHI
Drums: SUJK (スーク) GRAVE SEEDDELUHISujk

May I have a link to Signal? GALEYD is a good recommendation. As far as visual kei bands go, girugamesh and DELUHI are my exclusive tastes. However, they are not very comparable. But give this song a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoeYh4MwtCk

@Kusomoto: If you're searching for a similar band that ist not as dark as D'espairsRay then i would suggest Girugamesh. However, they also experience quit a lot. That's for example a song with cleaner vocals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYwEeszhQqs or this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vBVYFnOgWg ( they're both from there last album - it's probably less darkest) =)

Hmm.. most of what I listen to is dark xD Try GALYED (hope I spelled that correct) they are really new and as far as know, do not even have a page on here. You could look them up on youtube.

Indeed. I actually listened to D'espairsRay before DELUHI. It just seems like D'espairsRay, BORN, and 摩天楼オペラ are all darker and more gritty than DELUHI was. DELUHI seemed to me to have cleaner vocals and instrumentals. Neither style is bad of course. I was just looking for another group that is less dark and more technical if that makes any sense at all.

This band was so fantastic. Any suggestions for truly similar artists? I don't really think they're that similar to BORN or 摩天楼オペラ regardless of what lastfm says.

Nice. I have to agree with you on that solo. Vocals though, it's a tie between Hybrid Truth and Lorelei (Vandalism version) for me.

Greetings. Ouch, headache. If I had to pick a favourite guitar solo, it is Frontier. My favourite vocals are in Hybrid Truth. I could write a list of why so many DELUHI songs are great

Stupid. Metal or not, DELUHI is still amazing. Get the fuck over the genres and just listen to the music.

Back to the topic: as you might see above, Deluhi is a metalcore-influenced hard rock band, okay? Not a pure metal band, END OF DISCUSSION KTHX (mods are here).

+ @elevenofone: Do you really think that someone would take you seriously after bragging about your "vast knowledge of metal-based music"? You're not a 50-something heavy metal oldie for heaven's sake! It'd the best for you to zip your mouth shut and stay away from the topic that you cannot handle AT ALL.

The only people getting "worked up" about this is you two. Fangirls and other turnip pickers detest discussion by default that might prove to be unfavorable for the band in question. And I'm glad more people don't share your hatred for musical theory. Granted there hasn't been much explaining ones claims, but there would be if somebody asked for them. I do all this in good fun for my amusement and if somebody gets offended in the process, all the more reason to continue. // But I am done ( overdue ) derailing the discussion, so I wish you all a good day! <3

This is straight up ridiculous. For one, shouldn't this be put on the Despa page? Another, DELUHI and D'espairsRay are metal, so get over it and whine about it elsewhere. I think if any of the members of DELUHI actually saw this page (I dunno if they would look at it), they would probably be upset. Why do people make such a big deal over genres anyway? People listen to what they like to listen to. What someone else likes really isn't much of your concern.
