  • June 4 to June 11: You got the money. I got the soul.

    Last week I went back to the old school. I was originally a rock kid and grew up on the likes of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and the Smashing Pumpkins, but I then began to dabble in electronica and later hip-hop during my university days. As much as I love these genres now, there's still nothing that quite matches the raw sonic assault of quality hard rock.

    Looking at my charts this week, you would think I lived in West Auckland. For the non-Kiwis on here, West Aucklanders are renowned for wearing black AC/DC or Metallica t-shirts and drinking very cheap beer. Enough said.
