DANGERDOOM is a musical collaboration between producer DJ Danger Mouse and rapper MF DOOM. Their first album, The Mouse And The Mask, was released in 2005, and followed by the Occult Hymn EP, available for free download from the Adult Swim website.

The Mouse And The Mask was released on October 11, 2005 by Epitaph in the United States. It was also released by Lex Records in the United Kingdom on October 17, 2005, with different cover art.

It was inspired by Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming (where it also received considerable advertising) and features guest performances by Ghostface Killah, Cee-Lo and Talib Kweli as well as character voices and clips from many Adult Swim shows.

DANGERDOOM have also recently released the “Occult Hymn” EP. It features two skits, reworkings of several tracks from “The Mouse and the Mask”, and is available for free download from http://www.adultswim.com/promos/dangerdoom/occulthymn/index.html.

A Single for PlaySofa King has been released as well as a video for “Aqua Teen Hunger Force”.

MF DOOM had previously collaborated with DJ Danger Mouse on his remix of Zero 7’s Somersault.

MF DOOM has also stated he is planning a second DANGERDOOM album.

The official retail version is edited. Something to do with it being an Adult Swim tie-in and wanting to reach as wide an age range as possible, ie., including kids. The advance promo (torrented) version is also edited and I believe has skipping sounds. If there is an explicit version it's really rare and probably the reason why the bitrate on the rip would be so crappy.

I didn't know there were edited/unedited versions of The Mouse and the Mask.

I really gotta ask...what's the point of people uploading the edited versions of albums to torrents? I don't think ANYONE who knows how to use torrents would ever want to bother with that shit. It made finding an uncut version of this CD very frustrating, especially since the one other version I could find was poorly ripped and made a lot of skipping noises. I finally found one that wasn't edited or fucked up...at the lowest bitrate possible. I know I'm complaining about something I got for free, but I thought that this record would have multiple different uploads, not two equally-fucked up versions...

sorry buddy, your passionate argument gets a 0. Please make some sense for starters, like posting an article from a magazine, etc to prove these accusations. But then again if you really are a devout Christian you wouldn't be able to prove that either. Anyway, I don't think you analyzed things right, I'm awake and I feel passion from a lot of the music I listen to - and maybe you just don't wanna accept the fact you're the one dreaming.

in all complete honesty, my mind feels so much more awake now. i can actually analyze things instead of just seeing things from my view. this is i dont listen to just the same crap about cars and clothes and money and bitches...when thats the only message ur getting from ur music, its gonna change the way u see things, and in return, when u ease up on some that stuff, ur way of thinking will change also. it doesnt have to be limited to artists u think r into occult stuff, its all of the stuff the industry is shoving down our throats till we start liking it, or purely subconsciously accepting it due to a lack of anything else. music really is powerful. try an experiment, take a few rap cds which deal with the same kind of things, and put them away for a few weeks, i guarantee u will be moved. are u that attached to any one-particular artist that u cant do it? and the fact that so many people would refuse even to try it is a direct link to the power of music on our brains. WAKE UP!!!!!

have to be honest, havent listened to a lot of his stuff, but i been doing so much research on some of these shady mutha f*ckas, and u wouldnt believe how many rappers are into REAL occult sh*t and satanism. im not bullshitting!!!! lupe, kanye, bone thugs (obvious 1, but no 1 takes it seriously, including previously myself), and many more who u would never guess, but isnt that how it would go? 10 people on ur street might worship the devil, but most people would never know, or even think that it was possible that "that person" is a satanist. but believe me, the satanic worshipping rappers are out there, and i have personally thrown away ALL that sh*t!!!! im from cleveland 2, so the bone 1's hurt to do, but im over it. once u get rid of some of the bad cd's, u notice how much of a hold some artists really have on people, its TRULY remarkable and in actuality--insane. i encourage u all to look up "subliminal messages in rap, in satanism in rap". not just white people mess with the occult
