    Oh, and to all the people saying folks were brainwashed into voting New Labour, get a grip! There was an obvious real sense of optimism at the time and like it or not, the Labour government genuinely did some worthy things during their time in office. You really think the public finances would be in a better state if the Tories had been in during the recession?! Doubtable!
