in 2001 ,Efe and Sinan were hit by the idea of forming a band just after one of them said: “we’re playing like hell”. So they instantly found some guys (Mehmet ,Kivanc and Gokhan) and brought them together. Thereby, the primal formation of Dus Macunu came into the picture. By the year 2005, this formation couldnt hold itself and Dus Macunu splitted up. In summer 2005, Asaf Sarica; as a good drummer besides being an old crony of Efe and Sinan; said: “I…m a drummer like hell. and I can write damn good lyrics just in five minutes. Let…s find a groupie” Sinan calmed him down and expressed their demand with two simple words: …a band and songs”. So they wrote their first songs in sinan’s summer house. It was just a psycho scene of 3 guys, trying to create something with only wearing boxers. That made the divine influence. They gathered some songs and went in to a studio with the adddition of new member Emir Erem as singer. Dus Macunu has formed with that members for a while till Emir had left the band in later 2005. They had looked for a good vocal for a long time. Soon they found Can Sipahi through internet but they couldnt catch the chemistry. Dus Macunu took the final formation: Asaf Sarica (drums, vocals) Efe Kaptanoglu (basses, vocals, backvocals) Sinan Gungoren (guitars, vocals, backvocals) They met Ali Ece, a brilliant musician and the owner of Studio Frekans. They gigged a couple of places with Ali Ece’s recommendation, also recorded the song “Belki de…” for Frekans Volume 1. They…re still playing occasionally in Peyote and Crimson. And looking forward for new gigs. They’re now recording their songs for a demo album.
