Détente was a political oriented thrash band from the mid 1980’s. Their “Recognize No Authority” (1986 Metal Blade records) is a classic piece of 80’s thrash. Détente was widely known for their vocalist Dawn Crosby’s high pitched angry vocals. The band only released one album and then split up. Vocalist Dawn Crosby went on to form another group Fear of God. Dawn Crosby died in 1996 of liver failure.

Guitarist Ross Robinson is now a well known producer having worked with bands such as Korn, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Machine Head, and others.

For anyone interested in top of the line 80’s thrash then Détente’s “Recognize No Authority” is a must have.
“Recognize No Authority” will soon be reissued in the USA and Germany by Cognitive Records. The CD will be distributed in the USA by The End Records and in Germany by Hellion Records. The expected release is early December.
