Its not easy to describe where Cuthbert and the Night Walkers are coming from. The best we can do is to recall a review of a Flaming Lips show which likened the spectacle to a child’s first birthday party organized by the parents while on acid. We wanted to be in a band like that.

With this idea firmly planted in our heads, the fresh and delightfully odd CATNW was born in mid-2005 with three boys on instruments and five girls in a choir. Like any good party, the more the merrier, and the Night Walkers have recently been joined by a percussionist and a pianist.

CATNW listen to Sufjan Stevens, Augie March, big Broadway finales, The Polyphonic Spree, nursery rhymes, Bright Eyes, and anyone who can write a song.

Over the last year, CATNW have been working on their live show at countless performances, giving sound engineers headaches by asking them to mix a choir, making lots of new friends and finally, recording their first EP, Love Needs US, which has received high rotation on FBi with the song about Billy and Katy discovering their friendship at pre-school, Red Frogs.

To be continued…!
