Cursor Miner is an underground electronic music producer from Chichester, England. Signed to Lo Recordings in the UK, he has released 3 albums, Explosive Piece Of Mind (2002), Cursor Miner Plays God (2004) and Danceflaw (2006). His music was described by Uncut as “electro Syd Barrett meets Aphex Twin meets Gary Numan with a touch of early Eno and a nod at Beck”. He is also a popular remixer, and in 2005 had an underground hit with his remix of Temposhark’s ‘Little White Lie’. He also courted controversy with his track Suicide Bomber but luckily escaped without a fatwā being issued for his head…
His live sets reveal a completely deranged electronic lunacy with the odd occasional punk tendency, which he also applies to professional sound-design for Radio One and relentless and severely warped breakbeat / electro punishment on numerous labels like Lo Recordings, Combat Recordings, Uncharted Audio, Seed, Noodles and so on.
Recently returned from backpacking round the world as Mr Robert Tubb (his human guise), London’s music scene has been certainly much poorer for his absence. However, he has recently promised to once again unleash new material upon the unsuspecting eardrums of common folk, politicians, bus drivers and even celebrities. Praise be!
