Crush 40 was originally called “Sons Of Angels” and were put together by SEGA to make music for some of their games. (Originally “NASCAR Rubbin’ Racing” and “EA Sports NASCAR”)
As of late, the band comprises of the following members:
* Vocals: Johnny Gioeli
* Guitars: Jun Senoue
* Bass: Takeshi Taneda
* Drums: Katsuji
They have written and performed many songs for various Sonic the Hedgehog games starting with “Sonic Adventure”, right up to 2009’s “Sonic and the Black Knight.” In 2003, they released a self-titled album containing tracks from the NASCAR and Sonic games.
In November 2009, Crush 40 released The Best of Crush 40: Super Sonic Songs, which is a compilation of all of Crush 40 fan’s favorites as well as three new songs; Un-gravitify, Is It You and Fire Woman.
