It was written by Stephen Stills for Judy Collins, whose lavender blue eyes are legendary. The lyrics are state-of-mind at the time - easy to know each other, easy to come together, even easy to part. A story of lovers with the characteristic melodies the band became known for. Interesting use of a bridge at the end of the tune, too.
