Crooks and Children formed in Chicago during the summer of 2006, though this independent group met in Madison Wisconson years prior. Each member of the band performs as a multi-instrumentalist both on recordings and during live shows. Crooks and Children uses guitars, organs, acoustic piano, percussion, lap steel, trumpet, mandolin, violin, synthesizers, samplers etc… to form an ever-changing instrumental atmosphere. Crooks and Children released their first self titled EP in the summer of 2007, their second EP PIECE MEAL in the winter of 2008, and their first LP, NIGHT IS A GOOD CHILD in the spring of 2009. The band broke up shortly thereafter.
