1. The earliest Crisis was a British and band, formed in 1977 which was active until the early eighties. After the dissolution of Crisis, Douglas Pearce and Tony Wakeford formed Death in June, Luke Rendall joined Theatre of Hate and Lester Jones formed Carcrash International.

Crisis performed at many rallies for Rock Against Racism (RAR), the Anti-Nazi League (ANL) and Right To Work marches eventually resulting in British music magazine Sounds using the phrase ‘Music To March To’ to describe their distinctly edgy, controversial and far-left leaning form of Punk Rock. Crisis gained a substantial following in the UK and Europe’s punk subculture. In early 1979 the group underwent a major change in personnel with Phrazer, the original lead singer and Insect Robin The Cleaner, the original drummer, being replaced by long time fan and roadie Dexter and Luke Rendall. After performing their last show supporting Magazine and Bauhaus in their home town of Guildford in Surrey on 10th May,1980 the decision was taken to dissolve Crisis.

Почему тут удивляются анти-нацисткой направленности Crisis? Ведь Дуглас Пирс своим DI6 больше их стебет.

@Gusbreslauer Well I mean no disrespect to The UK Crisis, of course they deserve their own page, I certainly ain't arguing against their significance or importance. I'm aware these things are subjective regarding who is better or worse, I guess you mistook the relative sparse quality of my words to be some kind of a childish comment regarding the superiority of one over another, which I assure you wasn't intended. But I agree with krumbledkookie Last FM would be significantly improved if there was a way to separate profiles. Especially for bands with relatively (and I stress relatively, I know the US Crisis aren't as well known as the UK punk band) large fan bases. But I'm also aware this could be unpractical and complicated regarding the scrobbling system...etc. And isn't likely to happen so Ho-Hum...:( Thanks for the lecture though, just because the system is in place, doesn't mean we can't argue against it? I mean how un-punk rock would that be?;)

I agree, but I think would be significantly improved if there were a way to separate profiles for different bands. But that's a lot to ask, regarding the practicality of making that work, so I don't expect it to happen anytime soon, if ever.

No, they don't. It's not BS, it's how works. The UK Crisis is more significant for the following reasons: 1.) They were first. 2.) They were one of the earlier punk bands, forever having a stamp on the sound. 3.) They are indisputably the first political punk band (not just politicized, but actual revolutionaries using the band for a vehicle of a larger movement, Crass and other bands didn't do this until a little later). Seeing as punk would become very politicized from every end of the political spectrum, I would say that is very significant.) 4.) Look at the charts. They are more listened to. Your individual subjective opinion of who is "better", who "deserves" their own profile, etc. doesn't really matter. Once again, it's just how works.
