Crimson Moonlight is a band from Sweden known for their brutal speed and aggressive songs. The band has released three albums on Rivel Records: “The Covenant Progress,” “Songs from the Archives” (a collection of rare and unreleased tracks), and “Veil of Remembrance.” Additionally, the band has independently released two demos, entitled “Eternal Emperor” and “Glorification of the Master of Light.”

On June 16, 2006, it was officially announced that Crimson Moonlight had signed to Endtime Productions, a Swedish metal label, and had secretly recorded a new 3-song EP entitled “In Depths of Dreams Unconscious.” Though originally released as an exclusive pre-release on the band’s 2006 American tour, the official release of the final version of the EP was in February of 2007. The band is writing new material for an upcoming full length album, though no release date has been set.

vv you're right with that, the musical genre basically remains the same, especially if you just listen to their recordings. But as for the live sessions I have to disagree in parts. Given their performance, which in my opinion is not just show for the sake of the music, but for a message rooted in their beliefs, in this particular case the music played grows beyond the limitations of purely musical genres like black metal. Compare it to "gospel" which is considered a musical genre by the vast majority. If (serious) lyrics and (serious) performances would not count, it may simply be classified as pop, soul or something else, but it isn't. I think Crimson Moonlight is an extreme case though, as I heavily dislike such genre prefixes in principal.

"This band isn't 'Christian Metal' or 'Unblack Metal', They play Black/Death metal. Religion doesn't change the genre. [-1] Yeah sure, watch them live and you'll be forced to change your opinion." - You imply that due to their religious beliefs, the band's genre of music is changed when playing live. I find this hard to believe, as I've watched videos of Crimson Moonlight playing live, and the genre of music remained grounded in black/death metal.

Crimson Moonlight's "Eternal Emperor" album reminds me of Emperor's "In The Nightside Eclipse" album.

to the people who say unblack metal isn't a genre, youre right that its no different musically. It is just showing the fact that they have a christian message for people who like the music style but not all the evil satanic stuff.
