Biography

Crimson Moonlight is a band from Sweden known for their brutal speed and aggressive songs. The band has released three albums on Rivel Records: “The Covenant Progress,” “Songs from the Archives” (a collection of rare and unreleased tracks), and “Veil of Remembrance.” Additionally, the band has independently released two demos, entitled “Eternal Emperor” and “Glorification of the Master of Light.”

On June 16, 2006, it was officially announced that Crimson Moonlight had signed to Endtime Productions, a Swedish metal label, and had secretly recorded a new 3-song EP entitled “In Depths of Dreams Unconscious.” Though originally released as an exclusive pre-release on the band’s 2006 American tour, the official release of the final version of the EP was in February of 2007. The band is writing new material for an upcoming full length album, though no release date has been set.

A genre is a genre. Duh. They play black metal because they like it. Their lyrics reflect their thoughts and philosophies, just like nearly anyone else's does, Christian, Buddhist, or whatever else you can find out there. Once again, duh. Crimson Moonlight is top-notch as a metal band, and they have wonderful spiritual depth to their songs with well-written lyrics. They're like the C.S. Lewis of black metal.

It's so ridiculous to see ppl getting crazy because they play Black Metal, everyone should know the difference between music genre and ideology...

One of the bands which lyrics actually have a deep meaning when we come to christianity field .Possible reason of that is Simon Rosen theology studies.

metaleroarg...i'd say it the other way - if it's black metal, it can't be christian. so just stop taking their christian belief seriously, and listen to the music.

@kabalimo, the main point I am trying to make is this...why are so many Christian genres always 'titled' after a secular genre? I guess 'gospel' is the only original Christian genre. Everything else christian is taken from a secular idea. If our creator is the creator of music as well then why are his followers mostly copying off of secular genres? Where are the original genres from Christian artists? Is this not true?
