Based in New York City, Creepy Cat Lady and the Crossword Puzzle Afternoons is a fledgling band rising from the ashes of a previous effort called Footpads (with Constantine Caviris, “the Johnny Cash of Queens College”). Consisting of George Mikulski (of The Demand for Cheaper Money and Cake vs. Pie) on drums, Henn Sie on vocals, Christopher Ludvik on bass, and Jacek Bełc on guitar, they write collaboratively, though slowly. The four enjoy making and listening to music together, even though their individual tastes have little overlap; in the songs they’ve written so far, one might hear strains of hard rock, reggae, pop, ska, gothic metal, folk, surf rock, punk, dub, and country-western.

The group are currently preparing songs for an eventual debut album, to be produced by Bill Humphrey of MiXed Company.
