The drums may sound like a piece of junk but you can clearly hear every detail of Barker's drumming. Personally, I could not imagine a better drum sound for this album, it's perfect for the album's atmosphere, and it is further proof that Nicholas Barker is a fuckin' god!!

magnum opus. great vocals, not as harsh as dusk, better by far than the shit on midian and everything after. best riffs, shit is raw. i've never understood the issues with the drums. the production's quality to me. to bad nick didn't stick with them, he had skills. [2]

The weakest CoF album of mixing and studio work. The strongest CoF album of music material, atmosphere, awesome lyric and art work. One of a my favorite metal album ever.

I'd love to get my hands on the master tapes and do a little Drumagog wizardry. Still, despite the pots 'n' pans triggers, this is by far the bes CoF record.

Yeah, the bass drum is way too clicky. Toms and cymbals sound fine though.
