About this album

Courtney Jaye’s wonderful throwback voice and foot stomping music make for such splendid grooves. In a business where you don’t think there are any more authentic crooners left, you stumble across a record like this and have faith that the tradition will be carried on. Particularly, “Box Wine” has become a bit of a theme song of mine when thirsty and looking for haziness. Courtney Jaye is a talented recording artist with real style and class and real talent. Unlike most of the jerkoffs in her business. I so adore this record. - Zach Galifianakis

“My feel good record…no matter where I am, when I Iisten to it, its 75 and sunny in my mind.” - Nathan Followill/Kings of Leon

“What to say about Courtney Jaye. The Exotic Sounds and lovely twang. She’s your last best friend, telling you why.” - …Peter Hayes/Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

“Listening to this record is like being on holiday. Sit back with your Mai Tai & let it transport you.” - Jessie Baylin

“The Exotic Sounds Of Courtney Jaye” is one of the most unique and exciting records to be released in quite some time. Top drawer songwriting and singing combined with a completely fresh blend of traditional Hawaiian and contemporary pop sounds.” - Neal Casal/The Cardinals

“The first time I heard Courtney Jaye I was lucky to be staying at a friend’s beach house on the South Carolina coast. Our mutual buddy Bill Reynolds played me a couple songs before we went surfing for the day. After hearing the songs only once, I had both songs stuck in my head the whole day. Luckily fish don’t speak human or they’d tell you how silly I looked singing “Don’t Tell A Girl” and “Sweet Ride” as I flopped my awkwardness up and down the shore.
