  • Where did all the songs on this album go?
  • Up all night is a really sad song :( but the album is such a classic and i will never forget it, as a long as i shall live. The album just seems to flow through the songs like they were always meant to be together

  • This was the CD that got me into Counting Crows... It takes me to another place that no other record could ever replace.
  • I have a hard time being objective about his album because it has so many memories tied to it. Probably not their best, but it takes me somewhere else when I listen to it.
  • I love this Hard Candy!!!!
  • (continued from below) Butterfly In Reverse. Overall, though, this is their most hit-and-miss album to date, where some songs, particularly Good Time, Carriage amd Why Should You Come When I Call?, leave you shrugging your shoulders and saying So.....what?. Also, this is just my opinion, but I find Holiday In Spain to be their most overrated song to date. A mixed bag this era.
  • (continued from below) greater emphasis on the hook rather than the lyric, they really didn't have to prove that point in album form, as they already had written plenty of hook-driven songs before. Nonetheless, there are some strong songs, and a few classics, among this collection, especially the gorgeous, energetic ballad Up All Night, the reflective Miami and the Ryan Adams co-penned.....
  • Their only studio album I've been underwhelmed with to date (part of it may just be because their first two albums are classics in my mind and the third also particularly strong, a feat that's difficult to live up to again and again) I just felt this album is too overproduced musically, and though I understand the general point the band was trying to make this era in relying..........
  • Perhaps I should just read the journals to get an idea.. ;)
