1) Corvus Corax is a band from Berlin, Germany known for playing medieval and folk music using an abundance of authentic instruments.
The band´s name is also the scientific name for the raven. The band was formed in 1989 by Castus Rabensang and Venustus (Wim). Meister Selbfried, one of the Corvus Corax founders and the researcher of medieval music, decided to cease his active musicianship and to dedicate himself mostly to managing Corvus Corax’s own label Pica Records.
Corvus Corax often uses bagpipes as the solo instrument, and their live performances attract attention with the bizarre look of the musicians, which tends to be reminiscent of ancient Greek myths. They have been known to perform half-naked, dressed in unusual clothes, and wearing different ancient-like decorations, often tattooed.

• Patrick der Kalauer: Kettle Drum and Davul.
• Hatz: Drums, small Drums and Gongs.
• Jordon: Bagpipes and Shawms.
• Teufel: Bagpipes and Shawms.
• Wim (Venustus): Bagpipes, Shawms, Cornetts and he can manufactures them too.
• Harmann der Drescher: Drums and low Drums (k.d.a.)
• Castus Rabensang: Bagpipes, Binjou, Shawm, Bombard, Cittern, Drummscheid and Hurdy-Gurdy.
• Ardor vom Venushügel: Bagpipes, Shawms and Drummscheid. ( Cornix Maledictum & Ardor )
