Conrad Vingoe is a Brighton based singer/songwriter. Influenced by classic singer songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake and more recent Americana and folk scene contemporaries like Iron & Wine and Josh Rouse, Conrad’s compositions are fresh and intelligent, with a timeless relevance.
After releasing his debut solo album “Highwire”, he won the Fopp award for new music resulting in nationwide distribution of the resulting three track Fopp Ep.
Conrad’s latest release “Spare Buttons and Bones”, is a collection of the best of Conrad’s Eps and includes unreleased material and songs from his most recent recordings, one featuring guest vocals by Kate Walsh (also produced by Tim Bidwell- Kate Walsh, Peggy Sue and the Pirates, Hardkandy). Recorded largely over the last couple of years in Denmark, London and Brighton, the recordings also feature members of Lightspeed Champion, The Miserable Rich, the Mummers and the Leisure Society.
