Vancouver's

Vancouver’s Combine the Victorious is duo Mark R. Henning and Isabelle Dunlop. After two releases in the indie-dream pop vein they are currently transforming as an electronic duo.

The first song Mark and Isabelle wrote together, PlayBlue Kitchen, is now the theme to the Showcase television series About a Girl.

Mark Henning was a founding member of Reprise recording artists Pure, whose career spanned the 90’s. After leaving Pure he formed Blisterene but running an indie band and label proved too costly, so he turned to producing records until the spring of 2005 when Isabelle challenged him to write songs for the two of them. Scottish born Isabelle Dunlop is a well respected fashion designer recently turned singer. She is also a member Boutique Empire label mates Sex With Strangers. Though rarely playing live the two have been joined on stage and record by former Pure guitarist Todd Simko and The February March drummer Kevin Jones.

7 Nov 2009 | from blog.myspace.com/combinethevictorious

just wanted to say both Isabelle and I had a great time on Thursday night.  we think it may have been our best gig yet.  For once both of us were happy, at the same time, after a show. …
