Bridgend Alt-Rockers Colours of One have been honing their craft since 2008, playing venues the length and breadth of the country. From Edinburgh to London, to Leeds, to Birmingham, and back to their native South Wales, sharing the stage with some of the UK’s brightest talents along the way (Attack! Attack!, Straight Lines, Tiger Please, Starseed and Jurojin).
Their particular breed of rock is a concoction derived from the influence of purveyors of the bold and the anthemic, such as Pearl Jam, Incubus, Soundgarden, Paramore and Kings Of Leon. 2010 saw the band release their debut mini-album ‘Bad News Makes Big Noise’ which garnered many positive reviews from a plethora of reputable web-based and print magazines, including Rock Sound, Classic Rock and Power Play.
In December 2010 the record was listed in a BBC Music blog detailing the Top Ten Welsh albums of the year. Additionally, tracks from the EP achieved airplay on many UK radio stations, including BBC Radio One, XFM, Planet Rock, Total Rock, Nation Radio and a myriad of regional stations.
