Atlanta based group Collective Efforts is the brainchild of Ben Hameen, J. Mil, Bambu and DJ Creashun. With a refreshing sound and an uplifting message, the goal is to spread that message through hip hop, to the people that need it the most. When Ben Hameen and J. Mil started working together in early 2002, an instant chemistry developed. Realizing that their goals were one and the same, the duo started collaborating regularly, and began work on solo projects. Bambu the Asiatic fell right into place with his positive raps and powerful, distinct voice. All three decided to collect their efforts and started making music on a regular basis, combining their love of music with their passion for the the written word. DJ Creashun adds the final ingredient with tasteful cuts on a number of tracks. The end result is an amalgamation of “thoughtful rhymes, melodic hooks and instrumentation, and creative beats by Hameen, Mil and even Bambu has stepped up to the production plate. The vibe is pure, untainted by greedy A&R’s, know-it-all producers, and any corporate executive-types for that matter. Collective Efforts relies on musical production, live instrumentation, soulful melodies, and a positive message.
