Most of the people using the emo tag on here probably don't even know what emo means anyway. At any rate, everyone should just tag Coheed and Cambria as brutal death metal until emo gets flushed out of their top tags.

lol I know but it gets brought up so much. It's definitely due to some of their lyrics during the early years, even though those lyrics were from the perspective of a character or just to tell a story. Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops, point your gun in another direction now that you've cried yourself to sleep, etc.

Let's not do the whole "IS COHEED EMO!?" debate for the umpteenth time.

Would you like a story from Denmark? Denmark is a small country of 5 million people. It is north of Germany and it is part of Scandinavia. One day, 10 year old Karl saw an English tourist urinating in the sea. Karl drowned him in the tide! The police were summoned and Karl was sent to jail. When he arrived at the jail, the warden spoke to him. "Don't worry boy, jail isn't so bad, we're going to feed you chicken and turkey and cake and pie and ice cream." Karl shrugged his shoulders. Outside the jail, on the street, another 10 year old boy Anders looked at the prison. The only food he got was rotten fish. And he was well behaved.

Most of the songs on Descension, particularly the first five or so, would have fit really well on Ascension. The rest of the album is a bit different, but still good.

Just saw them play Neverender IKSSE:3 at the House of Blues in Chicago. They were amazing. Claudio's voice was so on point, and the light show was pretty damn impressive.

I wish it was a double album or a single album as well. They both feel a bit too short, but Ascension in particular sounds like it's missing something big, or is incomplete, or something. I did like being able to get two Coheed cds within a year, though.
