Klone - The Eye of Needle
Anklebiter - I will Wait
Aucan - Black Rainbow
Blut aus Nord - 777-Sect(s)
Blut aus Nord - 777-The Desanctification
Florence + the Machine - Ceremonials
Gazpacho - Bravo
Ladytron - Gravity The Seducer
Lantlôs – Agape
Lunatic Soul - Impressions
Mastodon - The Hunter
Minushuman - Bloodthrone
Mondkopf - Rising Doom
14 oct. 2011, 10h24m par hortronI've been a fan of post-rock since I was about seventeen and my friends and I used to sit around in our college's music tech. department listening to Ghosts & Vodka, Don Caballero, Mono and Explosions in the Sky, but I feel like I've been neglecting it for a couple of months. Codes In The Clouds were recommended to me by a friend who is a fan of Cloudkicker (the name is literally the only thing these two bands have in common with one-another) and boy was I glad when I actually got this record. Maybe it's because I'm English, and I remember walking through the countryside as a child, but their music doesn't half remind me of fields.
Genres: post-rock / instrumental / ambient

Ethereal soundscapes is just one more blog that's about music. This one focuses on various kinds of ambient/atmospheric music, be it post-rock, neofolk, or black metal and some alternate genres such as post-metal, post-black or folk black. It mostly tries to stick in an underground scene, you don't want to learn about artists you already know, do you?
I won't give any marks as it'd be pointless, since I love all those albums and would rate them from 8 to 10 out of 10. I prefer using quick, to-the-point reviews that are easily read instead of blabbering a ton about music. Also, this blog does not provide any download link or purchase link, as I'm sure you're good enough to choose your option and find the releases. Still, I add a couple Youtube links as a preview, because definitely, music is better heard than told about.
Enough talk, check out : http://ethereal-soundscapes.blogspot.com/

19 mai 2011, 8h27m par VirusOfLife92I'll be updating this sporadically throughout the year. I'm looking for recommendations so don't be shy, leave a comment if you think I should have an album on here that you don't see. Comments, positive or otherwise are always welcome. If an album doesn't have a rating it probably means I've got it but haven't given it a listen yet. A lot of these ratings are based off of a few or less listens and they're highly likely to change throughout the year, so don't be surprised if an album drops a point or more.

25 avr. 2011, 17h28m par esmeloveI'm going by the 3 month chart.
1. What's your favorite song by 15 (少女時代)?
I don't listen to any of their songs anymore.
2. How did you get into 20 (ケミカルピクチャーズ)?
Saw them listed on a music blog! Did some research and found their ex-bassist Jimi was from the US! That explained why the English in their songs was grammatically correct and made sense~ Its rare to see such good English from a visual kei indies band no less, so that is what sparked my interest initially. I really wonder why popular bands like alice nine have so much awkward sounding English in theirs songs. Personally, I don't think dropping random English phrases in a song is cool. But thats just me and I don't exactly fit into the target audience for visual kei~
3. Who is your favorite member in 1 (T's Music)?
they're not a band.
4. Whats your favorite lyric bit by 29 (Aural Vampire)?
There's a verse in 湘南族 -cannibal coast- that I've always liked, but I don't have the lyrics.
5. Have you ever seen 22 live (TAMxHikaru)?
