Cocktail Party Phenomenon is a five-piece progressive/jam/fusion band based in Voorhees, New Jersey. The band currently consists of guitarist Sal Burgio, keyboardist Mike Gardner, saxophonist Adam Jaskol, bassist Dan Enden, and drummer Max Young, with Sal, Mike, and Dan handling most of the vocals. What started as one giant, all-improvised jam turned into an intricately unique style of composed original music.

The guys from CPP all come from different musical backgrounds and bring completely different influential styles to the table. Sax player Adam Jaskol was a classically trained jazz musician before being brought into the world of rock and funk. Keyboardist Mike Gardner was a classic rock buff with some background in jazz before he went to college and started immersing himself in jam bands. Bassist Dan Enden has an extensive history of funk, jazz, and other jam-oritented bass influence. Guitarist Sal Burgio started shredding to metal before discovering the wonders of old school rock and roll. Lastly, drummer Max Young started off holding true to rock and punk-rock, and since has been combining funk, jazz, fusion, and Latin grooves into his arsenal.

In August 2010, they wrote and recorded their first EP, “The Sky is Blue.”
