I agree: way too fast! The guy who interpretet it, didn't understand Debussy at all! He blew off the therapeutical effects of his Arabesque Nr. 1! I've got a much better interpreter (who plays it the way I would!!), the only problem is that the play is disturbed by the sound of waves on the shore, and by the occasional cry of a seagull! (I have to see if I can get rid of those noises by filtering them out with the right hard- and software!) The carrier I've got is a MC (it's also on CD, of course): Dan Gibson's Solitudes, Exploring Nature With Music; DEBUSSY forever by the sea; interpreter: GREG DIAKIN (piano). Never heard of this guy before, but he's great!!
