13 Oct 2007, 08:56 by ChudleyCannonsSat 6 Oct – Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
First off, The Annex was somewhere new to me. And completely ridiculous. In a good way. The stage couldn't have been more than a foot high. Crazy. So Brooke and I were there crazy early, because that's what we do... so we were night and just left of center. (I hate getting stuck in a moshy thing. and I love being able to see everything.)
Before the show I was wondering how Clap Your Hands Say Yeah would be live because of how unique Alec Ounsworth's vocals are. I wasn't sure if it'd be really really good. Or really really bad. Luckily the former was true. AND they played most of my favorite CYHSY tunes. AND they must be working on a new album- because there were a couple songs that I'd never heard of....
I also managed to procure, through Brooke's sneakiness, a set list.
The first song apparently was called telling the truth.
In This Home on Ice
Satan Said Dance
Yankee Go Home
Gimme Some Salt
Some Loud Thunder

January 1, 2007- Center of Attention- Sometimes a guy just needs some simple folk-pop-rock. Guster's lots of fun.
January 2, 2007- Hold Up- One can't really pick a single track from this album. It's really a continuous mix, and the track cutoff points seem kind of arbitrary at times. That said, "Hold Up" contains probably my favorite moment, the Pixies/Nas mashup. It just sounds so natural. The rest of the track's pretty good too.
January 3, 2007- Dashboard
January 4, 2007- Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
January 5, 2007- Fidelity
January 6, 2007- I'm Waking Up to Us
January 7, 2006- Baba O' Riley
January 8, 2006- Nostrand
January 9, 2007- Wrong 'Em Boyo
January 10, 2007- Such Great Heights
January 11, 2007- Teenage Riot
January 12, 2007- Knife- Oh man, I never got this song. I thought it was alright, but certainly not a standout track on the album. That was until I heard the mashup with "Neverland" by The Knife. …
