Sur la scène anglophone, j'ai "redécouvert" quelques chansons vieilles mais éternelles selon moi... avec Nick Drake et Day Is Done, Genesis et le spendide passage instrumental dans Firth Of Fifth, et j'écoute toujours avec délices Clann Zú ou Heligoland...

Sur la scène espagnophone (sic) c'est surtout le "Mestizaje" qui me passionne, avec les influences flamencas... avec comme nouveautés pour moi Blue Velvet et leurs A cielo abierto ou Naranjas y Lunas, Black Baudelaire avec Cuidado, ou mes vieux "classiques" Ojos de Brujo, Estopa, Canteca de Macao que j'ai découverts il y a longtemps déjà... tout cela en partie grace à des "amis" sur LastFM ;-) (merci)

Titres que j'écoute à répétition, gais et dynamiques, un peu fous, sont : Capriccio, Vive la commune, Komedija ou aussi Les Tit' Nassels et Comme dit Verlaine.

Et les groupes ou interprètes francophones coups de coeur du moment sont ZAZ, Florent Marchet, Daphné…

1. Karnivool - Sound Awake
I debated including this album because strictly speaking, this album was released in 2009. However, it wasn't released in the US until 2010 and I can't deny that this is probably the best album I've heard in all of the last two years.

2. Coheed & Cambria - The Year of the Black Rainbow
Tremendous album is probably my favorite of Co&Ca's since In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3.

3. Pure Reason Revolution - Hammer and Anvil
PRR have embraced the sound from last year's Amor Vincit Omnia and continue to create an inspiring fusion of progressive, electronica, and pop.

4.Liz Phair - Funstyle
This fun, funny album marks a return to the days when Liz made music just for herself.

5. Brandon Boyd - The Wild Trapeeze

Shai Hulud - Misanthropy Pure - Seeing live, I felt I had to listen. Pleasantly Surprised.
Ween - White Pepper - Weens alleged tribute to the Beatles, this album was an instant hit.
Motorpsycho - Lobotomizer - Damn, this is a great album, particularly like Frances.
Motorpsycho - Phanerothyme - Woah, a more heavy Stereolab
Oxbow - The Narcotic Story - Chillingly orchestral.
Tomahawk - Mit Gas - Could never get into it. Desastre Natural :')
Clann Zú - Rua - Some awesome proggy irish elctrometal.
Converge - Axe To Fall - Sheer bliss to listen too. Slave Driver is immense.
King Crimson - Beat is quite an amazing album, sort of repetitive twisted funk prog.
John Zorn - Spy Vs Spy - Hardcore/jazz interpretations of Ornette Coleman's music, hard going yet satisfying.
John Zorn - Naked City - A fantastic array of jazz fused, with a myriad of genres.

Basically an album full of covers. I don't know all of the originals but they sound 'awfully' good here. Maynard's voice is always beautiful. ^^,
One of my favourites to listen when I'm laying late at night and having 'those very unhealthy thoughts' about everything and nothing.
