Biography

Citizen Helene is a London-based singer, songwriter and guitarist originally from Dorset, England.

Described as ‘baroque and beautiful’ by Darian Sahanaja (The Brian Wilson Band, Wondermints), Helene takes influences from 60’s pop, psychedelic folk and jazz, resulting in a sound has been likened to that of Margo Guryan, Karen Carpenter and Joni Mitchell with English sensibilities, combining plaintive acoustic guitar with lush Beach Boys harmonies.
