This is Chuck's male take on the song "Me and My Chauffer Blues. The song was written by Memphis Minnie and first recorded in 1941. Minnie wrote the song as a present for her then husband 'Little Son Joe' (Earnst Lawlars). Lawlars then sold it to producer Lester Melrose who paid Minnie to record it keeping the royalties for himself. The song was also on Jefferson Airplane Takes Off the bands debut album as 'Chauffer Blues' with an exceptional vocal by Signe Toly Anderson.

    Except that this isn't a song from the 50's. It's from 1965.

This is Crosstown Traffic from the 50's. [2] After all, Chuck was one of major influences for Hendrix.
