v How was Memento not subtle?

OK director, not great. He has not an ounce of subtlety and it makes for extremely heavy handed, overbearing movies

one of the greatest directors ever. absolute shame that he hasn't won an oscar yet.

Definitely one of Hollywood's most talented new directors. Memento and The Dark Knight are masterpieces. Insomnia, Batman Begins and The Prestige are amazing. Inception is great, but a little bit overrated. Haven't seen Following yet, but I surely won't be disappointed.
