Christopher Lawrence is an American disc jockey and producer specializing in progressive trance music. He has released 7 mix CDs since the mid 1990s.

Voted the #14 DJ in the world by DJ Magazine’s prestigious ‘Top 100’ poll for 2005 and a recent winner of the “Best DJ” award at the Dancestar US Awards, Christopher Lawrence is recognized worldwide as one of the World’s top DJs and producers. Dubbed “A Superstar DJ” by the US’s URB and “One Of The Most Popular DJs On The Global Circuit” by DJ Magazine, Christopher Lawrence is one of the biggest, most respected and popular names in dance music today.

Winner of the “Best American DJ” at the IDMA’s at WMC 2005, Christopher’s production skills, coupled with his ability to take international dancefloors by storm with his tough techno trance sets, place him in high demand worldwide. Once an outsider in a world dominated by European and UK DJs, Lawrence has risen to the top of the international dance music heap. He is now considered one of the key global players and one America’s leading dance music exports, playing main stage at the world’s biggest festivals and superclubs. Christopher was the only US DJ invited to headline all three of the inaugural Ministry Of Sound, Cream and Gatecrasher tours of America.

    I suggest checking out his first mix CD "Rise" from 1996 or his last mix tape "Contact" from 1995 if you can get a hold of that. Those are my favorite mixes by Christopher and I think give a great idea of where his sound originated and is great to compare with where he continues to take things. There are some great classic underground tracks in those mixes that are also hard to find and should never be forgotten.

    Finally I've got my hands on Un-hooked. So many rumors around Christopher Lawrence and suffice it to try to deepen and barely anyone appears to be aware of what he is all about. I mean, it's like an obscure figure in the scene, which (somehow) enjoys people's respect, but nobody seem to hear a thing about him. So I grabbed "Un-hooked". Let's see.

    Um.. your all fucking wrong... CL is an AMAZING artist.. I knew about him BEFORE NFS, and I hate Tiesto, PVD is okay, and I hate Armin Van Buuren.. CL is definite trance, thank god no gay female vocalists. Im black.
