First trained as an oboist in a family of artists, Christina Antipa had been singing and writing songs since her early teens. A native to the West Coast, she now lives in Portland, Oregon, though it was in Arcata, California that she recorded what would become her debut album: “Goodbye Different Oceans”. Masterfully written and minimally arranged, the tracks reveal a voice that is both weary and sharp, intelligent and kind. Sometimes reminiscent of Chan Marshall’s or Tara Jane O’Neil’s, it bears that unmistakable truthfulness, an intrinsic quality that permeates every song.
