From the beginning of his career, Chris “The Greek” Panaghi, has been dedicated to the Dance Music community. Chris’ early love of DJ’ing led to his start as a local New York area DJ, working various nightclubs and social events. He soon found himself spinning to packed houses at some of the hottest nightclubs in New York City and fielding requests to perform guest DJ spots internationally. Over the years he received the nickname “The Greek” (referring to his heritage), which stuck, and he became known in the industry simply as Chris “The Greek”. Chris is widely known for his trademark Peak Hour style, which incorporates such elements as Electro, House, Progressive and Trance.

In spite of a hectic DJ schedule, “The Greek” still manages to find the time to write original songs, produce new artists and remix high profile projects for established A-list talent. He first emerged on the recording scene with a sizzling record entitled “Boriqua” that created a tremendous buzz and led to his being in demand to produce remixes for major label artists including: MICHAEL JACKSON, GLORIA ESTEFAN, CELINE DION, JESSICA SIMPSON, AQUA, JON SECADA, YOKO ONO and MARC ANTHONY.

“I’ll never forget the first time I heard my mix on the radio,” says Chris. “It was the greatest feeling of my life, and that’s what drives me to create more.”

Chris “The Greek” has emerged as a recording artist in his own right, releasing a string of successful dance singles under his own name and scoring two Top 5 Billboard Dance Hits with “The Feeling” and “The Time”, and a Top 10 Billboard Dance Hit with “Movin’ On”. Several other releases, including “My House Is Your House”, “My Life” and “As Good As Sin” reached Billboard Top 20 status. His floor thumping releases, “You Just Don’t Get It”, “Time Will Never (Fade Me Away)” and “I Wanna Feel The Music” quickly climbed into the Billboard Dance Top 30, while “If This Ain’t Love” also took the charts by storm peaking at an impressive #22. No stranger to the media spotlight, he has appeared in more than 40 major outlet newspapers and magazines. Chris “The Greek” is also a Billboard Reporter for the Dance Music Club Play Chart as well as a regular contributor to many industry trade publication playlists.

In addition to his achievements in the recording world, “The Greek” has also found success on some of the most popular radio shows and radio stations across the US: Sirius/XM Radio, WKTU-NYC, WNEW-NYC, WLIR-LI, KYLD-CA, WPYO-Orlando and POWER-96 in Miami Florida. Chris “The Greek” Panaghi is a mixshow DJ for various radio shows and mixshows all over the world. He developed and pioneered the highly rated syndicated dance mixshow “The Island Underground” in the Greater New York City area, where he enjoyed several successful years as a Radio Mixshow DJ & On-Air Personality. Chris has helped to break many records with his keen ears on the radio level and has established himself as a respected and influential National Mixshow DJ. Chris can currently be heard on several radio mixshows which broadcast to a worldwide audience.

Most recently, Chris “The Greek” Panaghi was appointed President of Amathus Music and can be found running the successful international record label, which has proven itself to be a driving force on the global music scene. Amathus has built a reputation within the industry for consistently delivering quality music while setting new standards for diverse audiences across the globe.
