It’s HARD FOLK(TM) filled with freshly-crafted phrases! Chris Gheran’s vibrant, heartfelt, and contemporary work is informed by Dylan, The Beatles, and his continuous study of musicians in all genres.

ACT
Chris Gheran is a fresh act with stories to tell and demons to exorcise. The audience will wave arms, stomp to the beat, clap in time, or sing along. Chris has over 80 compositions, 12 of which are on his new album Monster that has sold over 400 copies.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Chris opened for The Fray in May 2011. Performed at the 2010 Calgary Folk Music Fearival. He opened for Jonathan Richman with a phenomenal solo set in concert at the Martha Cohen Theatre in the Calgary Centre for the Performing Arts as part of Sled Island 2008 and was asked back in 2009.

Energy 101.5 interviewed Chris as did FUEL, CJSW, and X92.9 with live performances on air. The band was highlighted in “Bands to Watch.” Chris won a singer/songwriter contest at Shotz Bar & Grill, and he and his band were semi-finalists in both the FUEL 90.3 rock Star 2008 and Blind Beggar Big Rock/X92 Original Music Showcase. Chris performed in Revelstoke and was chosen to perform at Rockanagan in Kelowna 2008 and 2009.
