The Choir of Hard Knocks is an Australian gospel choir. Founded in September 2006 by Choir Director Jonathan Welch, it is comprised of homeless and disadvantaged people who share a passion for singing. They've recently won an ARIA award for Best Soundtrack Album. Songs of Hope and Inspiration (2007) is their second album, with guest artists Jimmy Barnes, Deborah Cheetham, Karen Knowles and Tim McCallum. The Choir of Hard Knocks now performs regularly at the Sydney Opera House, the Melbourne Town Hall, and various corporate and community events. www.choirofhardknocks.com
