Let me preface this by saying that this was the last night of All That Remains's headlining tour, which naturally meant that it was going to be one hell of a show, full of excellent playing and possibly some big surprises. I was excited.
Due to traffic, though, I did not get to the show in time to see Chronic D or Light This City. I was mostly disappointed for not seeing Light This City, but something that happened later more than made up for that.
I got there just in time to see Black Tide. They were okay, I suppose. Reminded me a lot of Trivium's newer sound. Black Tide did play a good cover of Metallica's Hit The Lights, so that made their set passable.
Chimaira was on next. This was my second time seeing Chimaira, so I knew what to expect. They opened with three older songs that I was not familiar with, then went into the always-excellent Power Trip. …
