Biography

There are at least two bands with the name Chill:

1 - chILL: Finnish grunge metal band.
chILL’s music can be described as some kind of “controlled chaos”, where grunge driven rock blends seamlessly into brutal metal. Members are Jouni Rantanen (vocals), Eero Koivu (guitars), Miska Rautiainen (guitars), Mika Rautiainen (drums), Helend Jantsikene (bass, vocals).

2 - Chill: american R&B group from the ’80s. The lead singer was Michael Ian Ellis.
In 1985, they released their debut single “Lady Seduction”. Their second single “Think About It” was released, but didn’t appear to make the charts at all just like the previous single. In 1986, Chill released their debut album “Chill Out” on Street Records. The last single from the album “911″ failed to make the Billboard charts. In 1989, the group released their second album “Cold Fresh Groove” on Orpheus Records. It’s unknown how or if the album made the charts. The title song managed to peak at #35 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 12 weeks. The follow-up single “Body Reaction” peaked at #66 on Billboard’s Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the chart for 8 weeks. The last single from the album “Hangin’ On” failed to make the charts at all.
