Daniel Goganian and Rob Henry formed Children of the Bong as a British ambient-dub combo, including acoustic guitar and DJ Marin's turntable technology in their live shows. They later decided to go completely electronic, recording several tracks for compilations (Feed Your Head, Vol. 2, Quadraped Vol. 1) and – after Planet Dog signed the group – their 1995 debut album.
