While warming up for ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ Big Tom and my band stuck up an impromptu jam of James Brown’s ‘Sex Machine’ and the audience loved it. Tom was such a great guy, and a real gent, later that day he came down to my own live gig in Islington and got up and sang ‘Stoned’ for an encore - Great Memories” (Nicholas Bracegirdle on ‘Stoned in Love’, 2008)

“Stoned in Love” entered the UK Singles Chart at #42 on the week starting April 24, 2006, simultaneous to its release date (prior to this, only digital downloads were available). The next week, the song rose all the way to #8 and on its third week, it climbed to #7!
