About this album
Originally scheduled for a 2003 release, it was subsequently withdrawn. The artist has since cited the reason for this as due to a leak of the promotional copy of the album on the Internet and extensive bootlegging by a Russian CD counterfeiter. At the same time there were difficulties at label WEA after Edgar Bronfman Jr had taken over, with the A&R manager and music director who signed Chicane both leaving.

They really could just release this album now digitally, I'd pay for it! Locking Down is one of my favorite Chicane tracks...

It could have been a good third album. A bit dissapointing after the heights of the previous two, but still with tunes as amazing as In Praise of the Sun or Locking Down. But then... unreleased for whatever reason, and Somersault released with worse songs. Such a pity.

I would kill to get a copy of this CD, Chicane is like my favorite!!! Now for any Trance lovers, may I please recommend another great British act? Mat Zo (Matan Zohar), son of famous oil painter and professional violinist. Born in 1990, learnt to DJ at a tender age and was producing at 16. This kid is amazing, though his music is non-lyrical and generally very upbeat. It has nice melodies, such songs include "The Fractal Universe" and "Rush 2009". Still a copy of this album please?!!!

Bracegirdle claims this wasn't released due to "Internet Bootlegging" which sounds like bollocks to me. Whatever the industry says there is always plenty of money to be made from a release. This album couldn't have failed to make cash based on the success of Behind the Sun. IMO other things happened and they decided to shame the Internet, like usual. Which basically loses me a lot of respect for Bracegirdle.
