Biography

Luiz Fernando Zen (also known as Cheap Konduktor), Brazilian from Curitiba / PR, has been involved with music since his very early ages, even before, at 9 years old, learn the art of the guitar and, four years later, discover the world of classical music in keyboard lessons. Oportunities to play different types of rhythms in some of his friends’ bands emerged naturally.

The extreme ease of assimilating sounds, rhythms, chords, melodies, play music “by ear” and distinguish between the various nuances and details of each song makes Luiz Zen stands among the rest. And it was in electronic music where he found a very favorable environment for stimulating even more his musical skills.

By 2003, Luiz Zen began his deep journey through the world of electronic music, participating in many electronic parties and festivals, within and outside of his country of origin. Since then, Luiz Zen has shown such a huge curiosity as to what other DJs do and play, their techniques and malice, that he decided to go further, learning the art of deejaying.

Thus, in mid-2010, Luiz Zen finished the DJ course at AIMEC (International Academy of Electronic Music) in Curitiba, where he learned the art of DJing, the basics of electronic music history and also got some life experiences alongside some of the best-known DJs and producer, such as Raul Aguilera, Matteus B., Ilan Kriger and Rafael Araujo.
