Biography

Cheap Girls have been a band since the spring of 2007. The band was started with simple intentions of playing simple and loud rock songs. A 3-piece, the members are Adam Aymor (guitar), Ben Graham (drums), and Ian Graham (vocals and bass guitar). The band spent the better part of their first year in Ben’s basement working out the songs that would become their first full length LP, “Find Me A Drink Home”

Cheap Girls began to tour consistently, releasing several 7” singles and EPs, and wrapping up 2009 with the release of their second full length, “My Roaring 20s”

Continuing with a steady release of songs and shows, Cheap Girls managed to tour the United States several times over, hit Canada a couple of times, and made their way over to Europe (twice). Throughout, songs continued and they recorded their 3rd full length “GIANT ORANGE” in the fall of 2011.

“GIANT ORANGE” was released in February of 2012 via the band’s recent home at Rise Records.
Cheap Girls continue to play everywhere all the time by means of their Chevy Express.

They’ve released songs and albums in various forms with help from friends at Rise Records, Paper & Plastick, Quote Unquote Records, No Idea Records, Art of the Underground, Suburban Home, Bermuda Mohawk, Los Diaper and probably one or two others.

Haven't heard much of this band yet, but I like what I hear enough to go to their concert on the 13th. I went to Touche Amore tonight and their singer Jeremy was praising this band. It's a rarity when two great bands like Touche Amore and Cheap Girls visit fucking Montana within a week.

Driving to class today blasting My Roaring 20's thinking "Man, wonder if they have a new album..." ...I can't believe I didn't know about it. Briskly purchasing as sonic speeds atm

The new album just finally clicked, it definitely takes a few listens. The fact that I've had a few drinks is contributing as well no doubt. Best album of 2012 so far for me.

Yeah, I had to remind myself that I didn't love My Roaring 20s at first either, but now it's one of my favorite albums. Giant Orange will probably get better with repeated listens - right now some of the songs seem sort of same-y. I guess that's true with most albums, though. Everyone judges things too quickly, including me.

So stoked to finally get Giant Orange. Ian Graham is undoubtedly one of the best lyricists working today. Absolutely amazing.

My Roaring 20's took forever to grow on me, sounds like Giant Orange will take a while too.

Man, they sound JUST like Bivouac. Same three piece, same sound, same guitar, same song structure; it's uncanny.
