The only inspration for this song is about a million quids worth of high power cryogenically cooled electro magnets, and an intense feeling of claustrophoboia. Having experienced being put in an MRI mtself, I think she's captured the experience perfectly :)

do the vocal stylings/sounds of this remind anyone else of throbbing gristle or related bands? it is extreeeeeeeemely similar to a song i've heard before but i can't place my finger on it and it's bugging me.

.. it's a definite tip o' the hat to the sublime Broadcast, especially the vocal delivery... not that that's a bad thing eh? It's got a bit of "Black Cat" in it, for sure. Now where's my copy of Tender Buttons?.. oh, Beck borrowed it from me.

it's good, but borderline plagerism. This song is a very indiscrete nod to Silver Apples/Contact - with some Broadcast sprinkled on top.
