‘Wherever You Will Go’ landed Charlene Soraia a No.3 spot in the UK singles chart in October 2011 – featured in the current Twinings TV ad, the song is a cover of The Calling’s 2000 classic. Self-taught guitarist/singer/songwriter Charlene began performing as a solo artist in 2008 and was at the Brit school alongside future chart artists Adele and Kate Nash – her debut album, ‘Moonchild’ is due for release in late November 2011.

    so what if female artists cover songs like this and they become popular? the original was a GIGANTIC hit for The Calling (as if everyone doesn't remember the summer that THAT came out) and this version just brings out the emotion. I think this is beautiful. And btw, Birdy's cover of Skinny Love by Bon Iver is far superior to the original, so girls can cover songs this way and make them even better.
