Chantel Robinson is a singer from Northern California whose influences include Mariah Carey, Joni Mitchell, Prince, The Beatles, and Tori Amos… She has been singing since a young child, and has performed at venues all around the Bay Area, including the Plush Room in downtown San Francisco. She has placed in several contests, including a Top 10 finalist place in the Northern California Idol competition in 2003, and grand prize in Alice Radio’s Singing Competition at Ruby Skye in San Francisco, 2005.

Chantel’s vocals and styling have been described among other things as refreshing and sultry, and she is often called a “powerhouse,” compared to the likes of Mariah Carey and Kelly Clarkson. Chantel is now working with a producer, Jeff Crerie of http://www.utmosis.net, recording original material and working toward making an EP in the future.
