Cenospecies was an independent hip-hop group from Minneapolis, MN. The group consisted of MCs P.O.S. and Syst, and DJ Turbo Nemesis. They released one album, called Indefinition, in 2001. After breaking up in 2002, the City Pages, a weekly alternative newspaper in the Twin Cities, named Cenospecies “Best Band To Break Up In The Past 12 Months.”

P.O.S. went on to start a crew called Doomtree, and has released two solo records on Rhymesayers Entertainment. Turbo Nemesis is still his DJ in Doomtree.

Syst went on to release another album independently: Linear Language in 2003. Syst currently lives in the bay area, he released an album “Futile” in 2011 under the name Hapless.

The CD is out of print so you'd have to be lucky to see a physical copy let alone having the chance to buy it. If you want to download it just type in 'Cenospecies - Indefinition' and you will find two links for rapidshare and a bunch of torrents. ------------------------------- It's amazing that this is almost 10 years old and it's almost as underground as it ever was, even with P.O.S. being quite popular.

There are 5 or 6 killer tracks on In Definition. The album isn't on par with the POS solo albums, but some tracks just kick ass.
